IN COSA TI SOMIGLIO – MUSICAL THEATER BY RAFFAELE SARGENTI

Teatro Cucinelli, Solomeo Sunday June 15th, at 6.00 pm and at 9.00 pm.

In cosa ti somiglio is a work of musical theater for woman’s voice, an actor, childrens’ choir, electronics and instruments, based on some rhymes in Perusian dialect by the poet Claudio Spinelli (1930-2002), conceived by the Umbrian author Raffaele Sargenti, co-produced by “Octava Aurea”, the cultural Association “Il Raggio verde” and the Conservatorio “G. B. Martini” of Bologna, with the supervision by M° Paolo Aralla and the Artistic-Musical Direction by M° Mario Cecchetti.

The work is developing around the leading themes of cultural identity and the belonging to the place of origin. Hence, this opera was performed with a collaboration with the Accademia del Dónca. In this ideal journey through time, local tradition, real life and cultured musical quotations intertwine in a work which uses several expressive ways: theatrical play, mime, choral composition, elaboration and synthesis of recorded sounds.

The project was realized also thanks to the support by Fondazione “Brunello e Federica Cucinelli” to the activities of “Octava Aurea Association”.
